Metal washing plant for leading industrial manufacturer of bodywork accessories and equipment


The customer had the need to include a high-quality fine-line washing process in the production cycle, which would allow:

  • The treatment of large quantities of stainless steel components (up to 500 kg per cycle), characterized by various shapes and sizes (from 20x20x20 cm to 100x100x100 cm);
  • Meeting high-quality standards within a time frame of no more than 12 minutes;
  • The customization of the system for the use of two pre-existing models of special baskets;


The proposed solution was the Rotor 2 bath model M, a multifunctional system that allows the treatment and management of parts placed inside baskets.

The technological and functional features of this system guarantee:

The achievement and maintenance of the highest quality standards in treatment processes, certified through gravimetric control processes and surface tension analysis.

Higher productivity on the production line, thanks to high performance and the possibility to work continuously over multiple shifts.

Reduction of consumption and management costs due to the high level of automation of the systems (The system can also be integrated into robotic workstations).

Better quality of the finished product, resulting in an increase in the product's commercial value.

 

The system was customized to be able to handle large production batches by allowing the loading of customer baskets filled with up to 500 kg of components.

The cycle times were structured as follows:

  • Degreasing: 4 minutes
  • Rinse with demineralized water: 3 minutes
  • Blowing: 1 minute
  • Drying with heated dry air: 4 minutes

The optimal treatment and rapid drying were achieved using the detergents XL10 and DROAPAWAY, developed by Teknox.

The washing and rinsing functions through high-pressure spray and immersion were performed repetitively and dedicated to the type of part being treated, in order to achieve the most extreme cleaning qualities in the shortest time possible.

The optimal management of treatment liquids, executed by Teknox's DGT V4 program, and the restoration of water with conductivity values of 2 microsiemens per cm, allow for the maintenance of high-quality levels even after several days of continuous use of the system.
