Paint stripping on ultrasonic parts washer
The company producing cast iron pumps needed to remove paint from some equipment used in the painting plant, without using solvents, flammable products, or volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
To solve the problem, the company decided to use an ultrasonic parts washer (K200) and a spray parts washer (Simplex 120).
The K200 was filled with water and Paintstripper A1 at 1% and Paintstripper B3 at 3%.
The action of the ultrasound combined with the chemistry and the temperature of the solution (80°C) allowed the paint to detach from the metal surfaces. Subsequently, the stripped parts were rinsed with the spray parts washer (Simplex 120).
This paint removal process allowed the company to solve the issue of needing to strip paint without using solvents, flammable products, or VOCs.
The combination of the K200 and the Simplex 120 provided an effective and efficient paint removal process, ensuring maximum safety for the work environment and personnel operating in the painting plant.
